"Media for the masses, not the mainstream."

THE STORY:

JAKE HOLLIS' life is turned upside down when his brother BEN, framed for murder by the New Orleans industrialist GARLAND AUGUSTINE, escapes from prison and goes into hiding, holding information about Augustine's criminal past. Information which makes Ben and Jake targets for Augustine's henchmen CHARLES D'ARCY and GEORGE BLAKELEY.

The situation becomes more complicated when Jake meets RAVEN JAMES, the girlfriend of Jake's best friend DRAKE DELANO. An inexplicable attraction grows quickly between Raven and Jake that threatens to destroy both their lives when Jake learns that Raven is Augustine's niece.

But what forces Jake to confront the fate of his brother and his relationship with Raven are a series of nightmares, waking visions and communications from FISHER ROBERTSON, the ghost of Jake's own past-life ghost, which reveal to Jake that he, as Fisher, was murdered on the eve of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy by the same gunman who fired the fatal third shot from the grassy knoll, and that, that gunman was Garland Augustine. This is the information Ben has discovered about Augustine.

It's a complex karmic web of love, deceit and murder -- a spiritual war between good and evil, waged over a thousand lifetimes. But because Jake is caught in the web, he cannot end it. Only a third intervening person called the WEBCUTTER can stop the endless cycle of death. But when Jake discovers the identity of the webcutter, he must choose between ending the spiritual war or sacrificing the lives of those he loves most.

Based upon the novel, Webcutter is the first part of the Jake Hollis adventures. A film that defies conventional genres, Webcutter is both a political and paranormal thriller, an epic adventure about the battle of good and evil that stretches across a thousand lifetimes. It explores historic and modern events and explores the metaphysical connections between them.

Screenplay by Matthew Van Vlack based upon his novel.
