Satirical, fun, fast-paced and provocative best describe the Frustrated Monkey platform. The films in this series use controversial, thought-provoking and tightly structured plots, raw and evocative visuals as well as a combination of high and low brow comedy in the vein of independent films from the 1970's and 1990's.

Many of these films center on anti-heroes and counter-cultural protagonists struggling against the constraints of social, political, religious and autocratic institutions which repress the individual. There is no predicting how far the heroes of these stories will go to resolve their conflicts.

Some of these films are set in the same "frustrated" world, but most of the heroes and plots do not interconnect. Peripheral events and secondary characters might cross over to solidify common themes and cement the shared reality. Regardless, each film will stand on its own as a complete story.

Those films which do not take place in the shared reality will maintain the overall theme of the individual versus conventional society.

The Traumatic Arts platform is uniquely designed to showcase stories featuring protagonists overcoming and/or coping with trauma. Whether the trauma is physical, mental or emotional, these stories focus on the power of the human spirit. Be the film a tragedy or a comedy, traumatic experiences is what gives purpose to the filmmakers' visions and voices in each of these powerful pieces.

Through this platform, we hope to promote the voice and vision of those artists and individuals who are labeled by society as "handicap," "challenged," "damaged" or "minority," in a nutshell: restricted. We see these so-called "restrictions" as a unique opportunity to share with movie-going audiences an enlightened view of the world.

There is no restriction to what devices or genres are used in these films. Some may interconnect through the appearance of peripheral or central characters, while others will be absolutely stand-alone. As ordinary or fantastic the lives and events explored in each film, they all promote the transformational power of suffering.

The Ankhtir Arts platform features high-concept adventure stories set in multiple worlds. Whether paranormal, sci-fi, fantasy or action/adventure these films can be escapist or message-orientated. What makes these films unique amongst other high-concept escapist films produced by larger studio-owned companies is the emphasis on character development and depth of story. So often audiences and critics complain that high-concept/high-budgeted films lack any depth of story or significant character development. That is not the case with these films.

The Action/Adventure series does not sacrifice story and character for the sake of flash. If flash and effects are strong components in these films, it is there to strengthen the story and characters only.

Warning: the Other-earth Series is not for the faint of heart!

The Other-Earth platform showcases the darker side of humanity in a futuristic urban environment. These films feature protagonists who are at times infamous if not profane. The line between heroes and villians blur as these stories explore the macabre, the deviant, and the deformed, who have formed their own secret societies and criminal clans, waging a primal war between the forces of law and chaos beneath the streets on which we live.

Each film is a stand-alone story, but like other platforms explores a larger mythology which is the background for each film. The Other-Earth setting for each film is an alternate Earth not so different from our own where upon urban violence, political corruption, propagandized pop culture and diabolic forces all collide. From the modern streets of America to Europe and far ahead into the dark urban future of "The City," the Other-Earth platform creates a theatre where elements of the past, present and future are woven together to create a fantastic world of adventure for mature audiences only.

Like most production companies, BYH + FMF began its life producing short films. Under the moniker BYH Films we cut our chops making short films as unique and groundbreaking as the feature films BYH + FMF now produces. This platform is dedicated to the artform of short films.

Even though BYH + FMF produces mostly feature films, we have not forgotten our short film roots, and we continue to encourage and produce properties for this very unique medium of storytelling.
